You should wear comfortable clothes that you can remove easily if required when doing massages or manual treatments. However we do have shorts and singlets in the clinic
Gym or athletic wear is preferred as some physios will prescribe exercises for management of an injury.
Generally, you do not need X-rays or MRIs, before beginning physiotherapy.
X-rays or MRIs will be helpful to provide reassurance and confirm any pathologies or tissue damage in certain situations – for example if you have been involved in an accident and may have suffered a fracture or major trauma. Rest assured that your physiotherapist is a highly skilled professional who have the skills to help determine the cause and extent of your injury through a full examination and assessment.
